Ogbuagu, Osniji Damanze Oyimba of Oguta Kingdom, FRANCIS AUTHUR NZERIBE was born in Oguta, Imo State on 2 November 1938.
He attended Holy Ghost College, Owerri, and then got a SCHOLARSHIP from the "NIGERIAN PORTS AUTHORITY-NPA" in 1958 to study marine engineering in England.
He decides to live the Life of a Maverick when it comes to His Personal Life but HIS GREATEST PASSION WHICH IS THE QUEST FOR "POWER" led him into taking in His second wife which is the sister of Hajia Asabe Yar’Adua, wife of the late General Shehu Musa Yar'Adua(Obasan
I wouldn't want to focus on his Family and Personal life which is something He loves to keep away from the preying eyes of the public.
I would like to stick with the basics of my research, The Rise and Fall of Authur Nzeribe. The first and only man who was alleged to have conducted his own Election and personally Wrote the Results. I would stick to the MONEY,POLITICS AND POWER aspect of his Personality

In 1966, At 28, After Nkurumah's Tenure, Authur Nzeribe was alleged to have given bribe to the then Ghanain head of state, General Ankrah and this contributed to the overthrowing of Ankrah and Nzeribe returned to Nigeria same Year.
It is said that when he returned, He went to a Bank to open an account with them. It took almost 20 able bodied men to bring in the money he brought from Ghana Nzeribe was once thought to be the richest man in Nigeria
Power Chapter 3:- Gowon and Ojukwu
He was one the very few Africans that had the license to deal in fire arms.In 1967,At 29, He was given the contract to supplies arms to both Biafrans and Nigerians during the war. When some folks of Igbo origin say He betrayed Biafrans, I just laugh at their one sided partern of Reasoning. You think If there is another war today, People wouldn't take the "HUGE BUSINESS" opportunity in the War? Wether Ibos, Hausas or Yorubas..To you, It was a fight to finish, To them ,War is Big Business. You ever wonder why Congo had decades of war? Towards the End of the Civil War in 1969, Authur chose to go into a season of Long Silence and Strategy for a period of 10 years which He used to build an Empire and Established his assets. Nzeribe started up the Fanz Organization based in London, dealing in heavy construction, arms, oil brokerage, publishing and property investment, with much businesses in the Middle East(WAR ZONES) and Gulf states. By 1979 Fanz had an annual trading turnover of £70 million. In Nigeria, Nzeribe built up Sentinel Assurance and other companies. In same 1979, He set up The NZERIBE TURST in 1979 with GBP175 million sterling and The AGUNZE TRUST in 1983 with 200 million pounds sterling. It became imperative for him to return to the Nigerian political Sphere because He was sure that he had more than enough Financial backing to last him for a lifetime.
POWER PLAY CHAPTER 4: ZIK OF AFRICA
In 1979, The "Owelle" of Onitsha, Benjamin Nnamdi Azikiwe clinched the Nigerian Peoples party(NPP) and It was a perfect moment for a come back for FRANCIS AUTHUR NZERIBE who bought him a private Jet that later in ended in a Controversy. Zik gave him the opportunity to become a leading member of the Party but Authur's Political idealogy was more of "PERSONAL INTEREST" over "COLLECTIVE INTEREST". However, We wouldn't let go of the Fact that He doled out some millions to support the NPP from National to state Level. In those days, Money had value and One million Naira was really One million

In 1983,At 45, Francis. Authur Nzeribe Decided to run for Senate to Represent the Good people of Orlu "IMO WEST" in The short lived Senate of August 1983 that got dissolved by General muhammadu Buhari. Authur Nzeribe spent 12 million Naira to run for senate that Year. The Budget to run a Presidential Election wasn't more than N60m Back then yet Authur spent this fortune on just 12 local Governments. N12M in 1983 translates into billions of Naira Today.
ANOTHER LONG WHILE OF SILENCE: "LEAVING THE FEILD OF PLAY FOR THE MEN WITH THE IDEALOGY OF GUNS AND BOMBS"
After General Buhari overthrew the Democratically Elected Shagari in December 1983, Many politicians went into the Dark Ages and Oblivion. Since, There was no active Political activity, Authur went further to expand his Business Empire by setting up "THE AGUNZE TRUST". By March 1988, Chatered Accounts valued the Agunze Trust at over 400 million British pounds. The Nzeribe Trust had grown from £175M to £525M within 9 years. On 18th April 1988, He swore an affidavit in a Lagos High Court that summarized the "NZERIBE TRUST FAMILY TRUST AND AGUNZE TRUST WORLDWIDE" was valued at over 12 Billion Naira at £1=N13 which is in excess of over £925,000,000 . Today a Pound is over N450-N500. You can Knock yourself out with The Math
You ever wonder why it was alleged that Dangote said, "There are a few Nigerians who have decided to live a rather Low profile Life and If They are actually valued, They would declared to be Richer than I am".
LUXURY YOU CAN NOT AFFORD
All through his active political life he had a special suite he paid for every year at the Eko hotels.He just paid for it and live there few times in a year. Since 1985 or so. He gave the hotel 2million naira yearly at the time(That is over 50 million Naira today). Remember at that time in the 1980s this wasn't common for people to do.
He that started this idea of living in acres and acres of land that many politicians are looting the treasury to copy today. He had the kind of Pablo Escobar Idealogy. His compound in Oguta sits on a 20 hactares of land has round abouts,tarred roads,junctions
His Fleet of Cars is something that can not be thought of. Him and Ojukwu's Father were the first Nigerians to own Rolls Royce in the 60's. Today, His fleet isn't something I would wish to discuss that let alone talk about private jet which he started playing around with as Far back as 1979.
His motor for his political competitors was "Let us Match Naira for Naira, Pound for Pound,Okporoko for Okporoko, Rice for Rice, If you have the money,Come to the field and let's play"
