BONNY YOUTHS PROTEST FOR INDIGENOUS RECTOR FOR FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC OF OIL AND GAS BONNY, CTC CHAIRMAN WARISENIBO ISOBOYE TOBIN INTERVENES
The CTC Chairman of Bonny Local Government today engaged Youths and Governing Council of the above institution in the LGA in a peaceful discourse over a protest embarked by the Youths.
Briefing the Chairman, the Chairman of Bonny youth leaders forum Comr Emmanuel Finecountry highlighted the importance and necessity of a Bonny indigenous Rector and 60% employment of indigenous staff, called on the assistance and support of the Chairman in their yearnings.
The Council Boss promised to interface on their behalf to give them feedback in due course after much deliberation with stakeholders and authorities have been achieved.
In an interaction with the Council Boss who was accompanied by his Secretary Lady Helen Jack-Wilson Pepple and the Supervisor for Education Hon Wilson Jumbo Jnr, the Chairman of the Governing Council Senator Julius Ucha revealed on the Board's discourse with the Amayanabo of Bonny King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple while enumerating the objectives and plans of the Council which is not intended to malign, shortchange or disenfranchise Bonny indigenes as their motive is for the best interest of Bonny. He further assured that the Council is geared towards peace, unity, success and progress of Bonny.
Re-emphasing his commitment in the safety and security of people in Bonny, Warisenibo Tobin he also called for proper dissemination of information on sensitive issues as this to avoid misconception or assumptions.
The Chairman called on the Board to continue with the day's activity as scheduled for the sake of mutual peace and unity.
Senator Ucha expressed profound appreciation to the CTC Chairman for promptly intervening in the matter, promising to partner with the Local Government.
While giving feedback to the assembled youths, the Local Government Chairman called on them to peacefully disperse as an accord have been reached for the benefit of all, while applauding their solidarity and patriotism for the total and best interest of Bonny.
