IYC MOURN VETERAN SPORT JOURNALIST, TIMI EBIKAGBORO
...SAYS HIS DEATH A GREAT LOSS TO IJAW NATION.
The president of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide, Eric Omare received with shock the painful and untimely death of a popular sports journalist and broadcaster, Mr Timi Ebikagboro who died in the early hours of Friday September 29, 2017 in Warri.
The IYC president describes late Timi Ebikagboro as an institution and a role model to the youths of the Niger Delta, particularly the Ijaw nation. It would be recalled that Mr. Ebikagboro in 2014 delivered the lecture on sport business during the IYC international conference in Warri.
Late Timi Ebikagboro was a core Ijaw man that believes in the ideals and principle of the Ijaw struggle and always use his talent in sports journalism and broadcast to create contacts for the good of the nation.
Late Timi Ebikagboro was the then head sports Desk,DBS Warri TV/Radio.
He was at different times media officer to Warri Wolves and the National Under-23 Dream under the handle of coach Samson Siasia.
Until his death,he was a Special Assistant Media,to the president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF),Mr Amaju Pinnick
Late Timi Ebikagboro hail from Ogboinama in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State.
The IYC sympathises with his family, the Ijaw nation and the sporting world on this untimely demise.
