THE INAUGURATION OF THE COMMITTEE ON STREET NAMING AND ADDRESS NUMBERING OF ELEME LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA RIVERS STATE
Eleme is Fast Developing into a Cosmopolitan Town as The Present Port Harcourt city is getting too overcrowded and the need for Expansion is inevitable.
The Caretaker Chairman of Eleme LGA- Chief Hon. Obarilomate Ollor JP in wisdom and vision decided to move ahead of the times which would Transform Eleme into a full scale Urban Settlement.
In as much as His official address would be posted after this, In his Opening Remarks, He said "Gone are days when our homes and Locations in Eleme were described and addressed by incidents and Trees. We need to Transform Eleme into an Ultra Modern City and This is the first step in the actualization of this vision".
He also stated that The committee was given the mandate to Name every street in Eleme as This would aid security which used to be a major concern in Eleme but with this in place, Definite Addresses would be given in cases of Emergency during Distress Calls.
The Chairman of the Newly Inaugurated Committee- Elder M.B Chujor appreciated the Caretaker Chairman of giving him the privilege of serving in this capacity. He talked about his International Exposure and Experience on how street naming would redefine Eleme's Development.
The D.P.O of the Nigeria Police force Eleme Division assured them of security support Night and day in other to carry out the assignment.

They were given the mandate to deliver the assignment within the stipulated time.
