PRESS RELEASE A MESSAGE OF HOPE
PRESS RELEASE
A MESSAGE OF HOPE
I thank the Almighty God for our victory today at the Court of
Appeal. Today's judgement affirms the fact that no man can change
whatever God has ordained.
I also thank the good people of Eleme/Oyigbo/
constituency who wholeheartedly gave us this mandate to represent
them and all those who stood by us, for their continous
steadfastness, love and patience during the pendency of the election
petition in the various courts. We commend the judiciary for
affirming your mandate today.
I assure all of you that I'm more than ever before resolutely
committed to serve you and doggedly fight for the betterment of not
only the people of our federal constituency, but also that of the
South-East senatorial district, Rivers State and Nigerians in general.
The judgement today gives us hope of a better tomorrow. A
tomorrow that ushers us into an era of greater opputunies for an all
round human, socio-economic and political development in the
Federal constituency and Rivers State.
We must therefore begin to pull down the walls of division between
us and build partnerships across political, religious and social
sentiments for an agressive development of our people in Rivers
State. We cannot afford to fight forever while our people languish in
poverty and underdevelopmen
I therefore commend the governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike and
Senator Magnus Abe for their efforts in building consensus for
peace and security in Rivers State despite their party differences and
urge them to continue to always promote policies and programmes
that will engender the general good of Rivers people.
I wholeheartedly express my deep appreciation to some key actors
who contributed to our victory today especially Rt. Hon Chibuike
Amaechi, Hon Joe Poroma, Mr. Dike Hycient, Hon Nbakpone Okpe,
Hon Mathew Dike , Ambassador Oji Ngofa , Hon Marcus Nle Eji
Sylvester Sanwi , Prince Awalanta Ejire , late Isaac Obe , Hon
Fineman Olungwe, the election council of Oyigbo lead by Hon Felix
Nwaeke and Dr Jackson Nwaeke.
Let me finally congratulate my brother, Jacobson Nbina for putting
up a good fight and enjoin him to join me in the politics of
development for the good of our people.
